The Skimmer is a hat people (men) wear in summer.It is made out
of woven grass sometimes decorated with ribbon. It is called the
Skimmer or the Boater. The inside is made of silk. It has a leather
headband. It was made on 5th Avenue New York by Dobbs. On 5th Avenue
people wore lots of hats. |
